In a world in which technology and innovation are advancing inexorably, generative artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly central role. Organised by Standortagentur Tirol, an event dedicated to this fascinating topic took place at our Innovation Space in Sistrans on 22 February 2024. The event, which was filled to capacity, provided a unique platform for discussing the latest developments and the practical use of generative AI.
The afternoon offered an in-depth programme covering a wide range of topics relating to generative AI. Franz Unterluggauer from the Information Technology Cluster opened the event with an introduction to the potential and challenges of generative AI technologies. Ivo Rungg from Binder Grösswang Rechtsanwälte shed light on the legal aspects of using AI technologies, a topic that is of central importance to many companies.
Christoph Hasenzagl from Trustbit gave an insight into the technical capabilities of AI models and presented benchmark criteria for algorithms. This part provided participants with valuable guidance when selecting and implementing AI solutions.
Practical application examples were provided by Stefan B.J. Aigner from datafox consulting GmbH, who showed how generative AI can improve liquidity and delivery capability through optimised order and planning proposals. Sherin Grimbergen from Cloudflight Austria presented order automation processes in which generative AI and large language models (LLMs) are used, offering concrete insights into practice.
Mario Raunig, Head of Innovation at World Direct, closed the series of presentations with a critical look at AI projects. He shared valuable insights into why AI projects can fail and how to avoid such pitfalls. This presentation was particularly relevant as it highlighted the importance of comprehensive preparation and understanding the complexity of AI projects.
As the host of this event, we once again demonstrated our strong commitment to promoting innovation and a sustainable digital future. The Innovationspace, our centre for innovation and exchange, served as the ideal backdrop for the event. It embodies our vision of being a hub for networking, knowledge exchange and the development of forward-looking solutions.
In this spirit of innovation and community, we cordially invite all interested parties to our next event: the Meetup Alps - Engineering Kiosk on 28 March 2024, where we will explore the intersections of engineering culture, open source, people and technology. A great opportunity to dive deeper into the world of engineering and network with experts and enthusiasts.
