A1 Virtual Power Plant
The A1 Virtual Power Plant networks thousands of decentralised energy systems - from battery storage systems and industrial plants to emergency power generators - to form an intelligent, virtual power plant. This bundled flexibility is controlled in real time and used specifically on European energy markets and for balancing energy. This turns distributed systems into an economically viable, stable system for grid operators and energy suppliers.
New energies, new challenges
The energy transition and the resulting need to expand renewable energy sources pose major challenges for grid operators and energy suppliers in terms of keeping the electricity grid stable. Electrical production and consumption systems must be controlled in such a way that they are grid-compatible and the flexibility on different markets can be utilised.
A large number of small and medium-sized systems in the portfolio of energy suppliers, but also third-party systems such as batteries, smaller power plants, industrial plants or emergency power generators, must be integrated quickly, cost-effectively, safely and stably. In many cases, however, this cannot be achieved economically with existing systems.
This is where our solutions come into play, which are efficiently scalable and optimally utilise the existing
potential.
"With our virtual power plant solution, you can bring any flexibility to the right market - Europe-wide, secure and stable"
With years of experience in the European energy market, we provide the stable technological basis for your marketing of flexibility.
Measurement data and switching commands between the hardware controller and data centre are transmitted in encrypted form throughout Europe via the A1 mobile network - if required, even without additional hardware via a secure VPN.
All systems are hosted geo-redundantly in our highly secure data centres. As the Austrian market leader, we offer this security cost-effectively and in compliance with the GDPR.
A1 VPP supports the provision of balancing energy in the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors in various European countries.
Our support team is available 24/7 for troubleshooting and assistance. The virtual power plant can be customised to your individual needs.
