smartBoiler technology wins Energy Globe STYRIA AWARD 2023
Minimising primary energy requirements was the main focus of the comprehensive renovation of a residential complex belonging to the Austrian Housing Cooperative in Hitzendorf.
Innovation in and from Hitzendorf
Once again, we are not only particularly pleased to be able to contribute a great deal of innovation to a project, but also that the project has been realised in Hitzendorf, our new site which we recently opened in Styria.
The jury liked the highly efficient hybrid solution of heat pump heating combined with a photovoltaic system. This combination forms the basis for sustainable energy cost management.
Our innovative IoT system ensures that the smart hot water boilers primarily go into operation when photovoltaic energy production is forecast and electricity prices are favourable. We enable the interaction between the photovoltaic system, heat pumps and smartBoiler through the use of IoT controllers that communicate with our highly secure data centres via the GSM network. Thanks to the automatic and optimised control of the system, we have verifiably succeeded in sustainably reducing both energy costs and CO2 emissions.
