News World Direct Payment solutions for the OeNB Hackathon

How can the weakest members of society be helped with innovative software solutions? This is the challenge faced by 25 students at the Oesterreichische Nationalbank hackathon. We are supporting this important project with our Open Banking API as the basic technology.

How can we donate money cashlessly to people in need who don't have a bank account, smartphone, tablet or computer? Participants in the Oesterreichische Nationalbank's interdisciplinary hackathon on 16 and 17 November 2022 will be looking for concrete solutions to this challenge facing our digital society. 25 students from different universities and disciplines will develop comprehensive, secure and user-friendly payment applications, the most promising of which will be awarded a prize. And who knows, maybe the solution will then be put into practice! That would of course make us particularly happy.
