Talk am Rasen #1 - "Energy in transition" with guest speaker Wolfgang Anzengruber
In the premiere event of our Talk on the Lawn series, Wolfgang Anzengruber talks about the challenges and opportunities for the future of the energy sector. The renowned Austrian manager is an expert in renewable energy and infrastructure and was CEO of Verbund AG for 11 years. Since the beginning of 2021, he has been working on the ÖBAG Participation Committee on the topics of greening and sustainability in the Austrian economy.
At the World Direct Innovation Campus in Sistrans, Wolfgang Anzengruber talks to our employees in a relaxed atmosphere about digital solutions for the energy transition and what pioneering role World Direct can continue to play in this area.
Anzengruber is particularly focussed on the problem of uneven electricity production from renewable energy sources and the associated strain on the stability of the electricity grid. "Surplus electricity from alternative energy production needs intelligent storage solutions" - Wolfgang Anzengruber is just as convinced of this as he is of the need for energy supply companies to be able to trade excess production on the balancing energy market.
