Televoting: World Direct on the dance floor with the Dancing Stars
For popular hits such as Dancing Stars, the Eurovision Song Contest or 9 Treasures - 9 Places, A1 Telekom Austria AG provides a televoting system in Austria. Viewers can use it to cast their votes.
A major challenge lies in the fact that the individual televotes are very different for the audience. Voting options, announcement texts and processes are different in every TV programme and have to be configured individually.
Making complexity manageable
Technology from World Direct is used to make the sometimes extremely complex call flows manageable. These processes are defined in our flexible provisioning system and automatically rolled out to all relevant systems. An intuitive graphical user interface facilitates operation. Processes are clearly visualised in functional blocks. All elements can be freely moved, configured and quickly linked using drag & drop.
Results are logged in the system and also visualised graphically. Legal certainty is an important issue in this context. Our solution enables independent third parties, such as notaries, to randomly check the accuracy of the analyses.
In addition to being used purely for time-limited televoting, our systems are also used for the configuration of permanent value-added numbers. Have you ever dialled an 0800 number? If so, you have most probably already come into contact with one of our systems.
