Safe Aviation Tyrol, a cooperation project between World Direct, the University of Innsbruck, Management Center Innsbruck and TWINS, is concerned with locating aircraft close to the ground, avoiding collisions with civil aviation and visualising the objects detected.
In a lively exchange with the visitors, our employees were able to explain the challenges associated with the increasing use of drones. In particular, the relevance of drones for rescue missions, transport flights in medical emergencies, surveying, building safety inspections and in agriculture caused astonished looks from the visitors.
Fit for the 2030 energy transition with smartSpeicher
Since January 2021 at the latest, when a potentially catastrophic Europe-wide collapse of the power grid was prevented at the last minute, the topic of blackouts has been on everyone's lips. Accordingly, visitors showed great interest in World Direct's concepts and solutions for stabilising the power grid.
Our experts provided an insight into the technical background, explained the 2030 energy transition and the major challenges posed by the increased use of renewable energy sources.
Another major topic of discussion was our award-winning smartBoiler, with which every private household can already make an important contribution to achieving climate targets without great effort.
Somewhat tired but enthusiastic, the conclusion of our employees was unanimous: "Out of 6 hours on site, at least 5 1/2 hours of pure speaking time. We are overwhelmed by the great public interest - a more than successful event! We are already looking forward to next year."
